Base editing

Make changes to previously configured bases

Base editing is helpful if you ever need to make edits to a base you've previously configured. For example, if you want to sync new fields or remove a table.

You can access the edit base page using the edit button on your Whalesync base.

Note - syncing must be disabled while making edits to your base.

There are two main base editing pages:

  1. Tables - edit table mappings

  2. Fields - edit field mappings

On either page, you can add or remove mappings using the dropdown and clicking "Save changes".

Once you're done making edits, don't forget to turn syncing back on ☺️.

Be careful about deleting a table mapping and then re-adding the same mapping back. Whalesync will treat this as a brand new mapping and sync over records again.
