Authorize Zendesk
Connect Zendesk to Whalesync by entering your account's subdomain and signing in, and what to do about each Zendesk connection error.
Whalesync connects to Zendesk by signing in to your Zendesk account, with read and write access. It acts as the user who signs in, so Zendesk records the changes it makes as that user's, and they run your account's triggers like any other change. Signing in as an admin of the account avoids permission errors.
Section titled “Sign in”- In Whalesync, choose Zendesk.
- In Zendesk subdomain, enter the first part of your Zendesk address: for
acme.zendesk.com, enteracme. Enter the subdomain only, withouthttps://or.zendesk.com. The field refuses a pasted URL. - Click Authorize. Zendesk's sign-in opens in the same tab rather than a popup. Sign in if it asks, and allow Whalesync access.
- Back in Whalesync, pick the tables to sync.
A connection is tied to its account. To reconnect it, sign in to the same Zendesk account. If the account's subdomain changes, create a new connection.
